Tennessee Human Rights Award for Outstanding Service
In 2021, Judge Bell was presented with the Tennessee Human Rights Award for Outstanding Service. Each year, this award is presented to devoted human rights leaders who have done amazing work to advance human rights. During her time on the bench, Judge Bell established the State of Tennessee's first community court focused on preventive, diversionary, and restorative justice initiatives to move the needle for marginalized people. Music City Court has evening hours to make it easier for people to attend and has seen a record number of cases involving indigency and record expungements
